Rockhampton River Festival is a FREE event. Tickets are not required.
The ‘Before I Die’ art wall by Candy Chang became a worldwide phenomenon and as part of this year’s festival, Rockhampton will join one of 5,000 locations around the world that have become spaces for this highly impactful and thought-provoking piece of art.
Festival-goers are invited to write on an enormous communal blackboard the things they want to achieve before they die, forcing participants to reflect on their own mortality and their future aspirations.
Anyone will be able to participate in the movement for free on the riverside between Rod Laver Plaza and the Fitzroy Adventure Playground.
