Rockhampton River Festival, in collaboration with Capricornia Printmakers Inc., is excited to announce that the print design competition to celebrate our 10-year anniversary is now closed. We received an overwhelming response, and we're thrilled to share that six exceptional designs have been selected for exclusive printing at this year's festival.
Announcing the Finalists!
The six winning designs, chosen from a plethora of outstanding submissions, will be showcased and printed at the Walter Reid Cultural Centre during the festival. These designs capture the essence of Rockhampton River Festival. The chosen designs will be available on collectible tote bags and cards, cherished by festival-goers as special mementos of this milestone event.
Design Guidelines
The competition encouraged participants to submit original designs under the theme "Celebrating 10 Years of Rockhampton River Festival," reflecting the festival's atmosphere and community spirit.
Production at the Festival
Capricornia Printmakers Inc. will bring these winning designs to life at the Walter Reid Cultural Centre during the festival. Attendees can choose their favourite design to be printed on a tote bag or card. This unique experience allows festival-goers to witness the transformation of these artistic concepts into tangible pieces, adding to the festival's collaborative approach.
Prizes for the Winners
Each of the six winners will receive a tote bag and card printed with their design, along with 12 months of free membership to Capricornia Printmakers Inc. This membership offers a chance to further explore and hone their printmaking skills within a supportive artistic community at the Walter Reid Cultural Centre.
