The highly anticipated Rockhampton River Festival program is now live! Mark your calendars for next weekend, from Friday, July 26 to Sunday, July 28, as Rockhampton gears up to host River Fest X.

This year’s festival, themed “Reflection,” celebrates a decade of growth, transformation, and community spirit in the region since its inception in 2014.

What started as a local community celebration has blossomed into an iconic three-day event in Central Queensland, bringing together over 40,000 attendees to enjoy arts, culture, and entertainment.

Festival Highlights

Country on Quay: Kick off the weekend with a huge country music line-up with Travis Collins, Gemma Kirby, Lewis McKee and Trent Richardson.

Music Extravaganza: Enjoy three days and nights of non-stop music, culminating with a spectacular performance by Eskimo Joe on Sunday evening.

UnitePlayPerform: Join artist ØFFERINGS in a demolition party, where participants can build and destroy large-scale Hyper Temples in the ‘Build and Destroy’ workshop on Rod Laver Plaza or build and embody a plush avatar as wearable art in ‘Utopia Playshop.’

Award Winning Ticketed Shows: Discover exceptional performances in Customs House with Godz and The Ironing Maidens

Artist Collective: Located opposite the Rockhampton Museum of Art, this hub will showcase local talent with artist pop-ups on Saturday and the new Thrift It market on Sunday, promoting sustainable fashion with pre-loved treasures.

Free Workshops: A range of drop-in style workshops are available across the festival including origami art, ‘Together We Create’ Bunting, Festival Flowers, River Fest Mural, Flora and Fauna of Tunuba craft, RiverKids at RMOA to name just a few.

Arts on the Fringe: A visit to the Walter Reid Cultural Centre during River Festival will allow you to join in on arts and crafts workshops as well as enjoying captivating musical performances and short films.

Flavours of the World: Embark on a culinary adventure with delights from Thai, German, Spanish, Japanese, Brazilian, and Hungarian cuisines – a must-visit for food lovers.

Neon Alley: A captivating addition to River Fest is our very first pop-up nightclub! Transforming East Street Links into a colourful destination for good times, delicious street food and expertly crafted cocktails.

Market Village: Debuting this year, the Market Village, nestled between Derby and Williams Streets, features over 35 stallholders offering handmade jewellery, leather accessories, spices, sweets and more – a shopper’s paradise.
