Matilda Duncan is a young indie singer/songwriter crafting lyrically-focused music with a diverse range of influences.
With the help of Triple J, Matilda won a supporting slot on platinum-selling Australian rock band The Rubens northern leg of their national tour, as well as the chance to duet with the band, all by the end of high-school. Following shortly after, Matilda was invited to play Townsville’s Groovin’ the Moo Festival.
The young artist has cemented herself as one to watch, having supported, toured with and performed alongside some of Australian music’s biggest names - Vera Blue, Thirsty Merc, Katie Noonan, The Rubens, Kim Churchill.
By June 2023 she completed 2 interstate tours and has more dates on the way, while balancing recording internationally with acclaimed producer Nash Chambers.
To date Matilda has released four singles that gained Triple J and ABC airplay, with more on the way as she explores new genres and continues to develop her writing. As she uproots and shifts her sights to Melbourne in 2024, new material is on the way at last.
